Overview

Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in central New York, major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking a Hematologist-Medical Oncologist to join our staff. Visa Sponsorship Available.

Description

Bassett Healthcare Network is an integrated health care system that provides care and service to people living in an eight-county region covering 5,600 square miles in Central New York. The organization includes five corporately affiliated hospitals, as well as skilled nursing facilities, community and school-based health centers, and health partners in related fields.

The Bassett Regional Cancer Program has been continuously accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Center since 1947 and the American Society of Clinical Oncology since 2021. The program is also a member of the ECOG-ACRIN with close to 30 years of participation in NCI and sponsored clinical trials. The program has a collaborative and multidisciplinary model, which includes onsite Radiation Oncologists, Surgical Oncologists, Pathologists and Radiologists, including an active weekly tumor board. The program has a comprehensive support team that includes Nurse Navigators, Social Workers, Financial Counselors, a Nutritionist and Palliative Care Practitioners.

Job Description & Responsibilities

Join an established group of Physicians and Advanced Practice Clinicians

* The Bassett Medical Group is multispecialty with over 500 practitioners
* 1:6 shared remote call
* Dedicated inpatient oncologist
* Outpatient only
* Salary Range: $525,000 – $600,000 based on a 4-day work week. This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards
* Bassett offers Physicians an incentive plan with no earnings cap. Individual performance and productivity can significantly enhance compensation with potential upside realized within the first year of employment.
* Sign-on Bonus up to $200,000
