Piedmont Geriatric Hospital is looking for a Chief Medical Officer. The CMO will Serve as the Director of Medical Services for the hospital. Provides leadership, direction, management, and supervision of the activities of the Medical Staff. Monitors facility-wide medical and psychiatric services to ensure appropriateness for the patient population. Advises the Facility Director/CEO on clinical and administrative matters, particularly patient management, quality of care, and risk management issues, and contributes to facility-wide program development.

Minimum Qualifications: -Graduation from an approved/accredited medical school.

-Completion of a psychiatric residency program.

-Current license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

-Current federal license to prescribe medications.

-Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

-Prior clinical experience in a behavioral health hospital required.

-Knowledge of quality assurance and utilization review functions.
