Position Description
This position will:
* Provide comprehensive dental care, including diagnosis and treatment, of dental diseases in children and adolescents.
* Oversee and participate in school based health care dental activities.
* Perform dental procedures with a focus on pediatric dentistry.
* Develop and implement individualized dental care plans for pediatric patients.
* Educate children and their families on the importance of maintaining good oral health and preventive dental care.
* Ensure a positive, comfortable, and safe environment for pediatric patients.
* Stay updated on the latest advancements in pediatric dentistry and implement best practices in patient care.
* Oversee and participate in school based health center activities
* Participate in community outreach programs to promote dental health awareness among children.
RHG is a Federally Qualified Community Health Center dedicated to serving the region’s underserved through:
* 15 Family Practice and/or Internal Medicine offices, OB/GYN office, Pediatrics office, and School Based Health Center Program [Outpatient only FM/IM; OB/GYN & PEDS have hospital privileges and call]
* 3 dental offices [general dentistry/all ages]
* 3 in-house pharmacies, 340b pharmacy program
* Integrated Behavioral Health [Psychologists and LCSWs]
* Case Management, Care Managers
* Community-Based Outreach Program: Migrant/Seasonal Farm Worker, Health Education, Insurance Outreach.

We seek individuals committed to a rural practice with the desire to establish roots in the community. Dentist would most likely live in Roanoke Rapids area or possibly Rocky Mount area.

Requirements:
* DDS/DMD from an accredited dental school.
* Valid state dental license.
* Board certified in Pediatric Dentistry.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
* Strong commitment to quality patient care and ensuring a positive patient experience.
* Ability to manage a diverse patient population and adapt to the needs of each patient.
* Experience and comfortability with operatories using nitrous oxide administration to pediatric patients.
