Psychiatrist

Fordland Clinic is looking to add a psychiatrist to our growing behavioral health services. The psychiatrist will provide psychiatric, diagnostic, and therapeutic service to our patients of our primary care clinic.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Conducts psychiatric examinations.

Makes diagnoses and prescribes therapy.

Administers and interprets projective tests.

Collaborate with PMHNPs

Participates in staff conferences and recommends appropriate treatment approaches.

Assists in developing and organizing a program of clinic treatment.

Directs case conferences. Serves as a consultant to other clinic staff.

Confers with patient’s relatives regarding illness and treatment.

Assists through consultation in establishing psychiatric programs and policies.

Keeps medical records and prepares psychiatric reports.

Testifies in judicial proceedings on matters concerning petitions and affidavits.

Completes other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements:

* Completion of a residency training program in psychiatry and two years of post-residency experience as a psychiatrist in a psychiatric facility required.
* Possession of a valid license as a physician and surgeon required.

* Initial acceptance may be based on licensure as a physician and surgeon in another state; licensure as a physician and surgeon in this state is required prior to appointment.

* Possession of a valid state driver’s license may be required.

Weekdays (8-5)
