Position Description
Primary Responsibilities:
* Provides limited and/or comprehensive psychiatric assessment and management for Children and Adults.
* Establishes and monitors system for psychiatric approval of diagnosis/problem lists, case management plans and staff review of client progress.
* Establishes criteria for required psychiatric evaluations and monitors performance against those criteria.
* Establishes and maintains consultation and referral system with physicians and the other providers in the Center and in the community.
* Will perform duties Tele Psychiatric services and face-to-face.
* Participates in activities of community services program as needed.
* Primary responsibility for inpatient services with assistance of the designated inpatient manager.
* Prepares necessary reports.
* Member of the Professional Standards and Practices Committee.
* Must complete Patient Safety Training curriculum.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
* Daytime hours are negotiable. No weekends. PT Only. No PRN.
* Behavioral health services will be provided at the primary clinics through Behavioral Health Consultants.
Successful Candidate Will Have:
* MD / DO from an Accredited University
* Completed ACGME Accredited Residency Training in Psychiatry
* Board Eligible or Board Certified as a Psychiatrist Physician licensed to practice in the State of Missouri
* Excellent clinical and communication skills
* Psychiatrist position is eligible for a $5000 retention bonus
