Loan Repayment Opportunities

NEW Health is a non-profit federally qualified health center (FQHC). NEW Health is a member of the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) scholarships and loan repayment program. We are an NHSC approved site with a Primary Care HPSA Score of 17, a Dental HPSA Score of 20, and a Mental Health HPSA Score of 20. Additionally, NEW Health licensed health professionals are eligible to apply for the Washington State Health Professional Loan Repayment Program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provides individual and group counseling services within individual scope of practice to assist in clients in achieving more effective personal, social, educational, and vocational development and adjustment.

Provides behavioral health counseling utilizing evidence-based practices and a brief intervention model.

Available to primary care providers for behavioral health staffing and consultation.

Collects psycho-social data about individuals and provide gathered information to providers to assist them in managing medical care.

Perform mental health evaluations utilizing approved evaluation tools assessing amenability to mental health treatment and level of care needed.

Develops detailed care plans for each client and document as part of the electronic health record.

Links clients with various community resources.

Provides in-service training for NEW Health staff as requested.

Participates in community outreach activities as directed.

For staff with chemical dependency expertise:

Responsible for performing chemical dependency assessments on clients using approved testing instruments and evaluating tools and determining their amenability for referral to other agencies and/or programs.

Conducts individual and group counseling and education focusing on alcohol and drug treatment, relapse prevention, and cognitive behavioral change.

For staff with clinical supervision training and duties:

Supervises and coordinates volunteers and behavioral health / social work students as required.

Facilitates peer review and chart audit process as assigned.

Commitment to supporting a safe, respectful, equitable, and inclusive environment required.

Travel may be required.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements:

Valid state licensure as a Licensed Advanced Social Worker (or associate), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (or associate), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (or associate), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, and/or Licensed Professional Counselor required. Two years of clinical practice with underserved populations desired.

Work Schedule:

Weekdays (8-5)

Compensation Range:

$50,000 – $100,000
