Physician

Looking for a Family Medicine Physician (Internal Medicine or Med/Peds also accepted) who will diagnose and treat a variety of diseases and injuries in general practice. Provides clinical guidance to the on-site clinical support team (RN, APRN, PA-C, MA, and LPN).

Key Responsibilities

* Elicits and records information about the patient’s medical history.
* Examines the patient to determine general physical condition.
* Orders or executes various tests, analysis, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient’s condition.
* Complete and sign all documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
* Analyzes reports and findings of tests and of examination, and diagnosis condition.
* Administers or prescribes treatments and drugs.
* Oversees timely immunizations of patients.
* Advises patients concerning diet and methods for prevention of disease.
* Refers patient to medical specialist or other practitioner for specialized treatment.
* Performs minor surgery.
* May have to make house and emergency calls to attend to patients unable to visit office or clinic.
* Conducts physical examinations to provide information needed for admission to school, consideration for jobs, or eligibility for insurance coverage.
* Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and is able to identify and categorize each patient’s age-specific grouping of needs, such as those for infant, adolescents, or geriatric patients.
* Other duties, hours, and ACHS site placement may be assigned.
