Position Description

PCHC is seeking an experienced clinical social worker or therapist (LCSW, LCPC or LMFT) to help lead the Behavioral Health Services teams.

The Associate Director of Behavioral Health Services will provide clinical and administrative leadership to Behavioral Health Home, Embedded Case Management, and Community Health Worker teams at PCHC. The Associate Director will work closely alongside the Executive Clinical Director of Behavioral Health Services to oversee the strategic development of the operation, and the process design of systems and procedures to ensure efficient functioning of Behavioral Health Services, including departmental budget, and ongoing productivity review.

The Associate Director is responsible for:

* Internal Behavioral Health related activities, including acting as a liaison with community partners and establishing consistent internal communication that allows for building a positive, team-based and customer service-oriented culture.

* Technical and compliance oversight of all Behavioral Health programming, including internal policy and procedure development and ongoing review, as well as expansion and growth of the department’s services, and monitoring compliance with Mainecare and State of Maine licensing guidelines and regulations.

* Directing and coordinating the activities of personnel engaged in providing Behavioral Health services, including providing operational supervision and clinical coaching of staff, and coordination of staff hiring and orientation.

* The position is planned for full-time 40 hours, generally Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Education and Experience:

* Must be licensed as a LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the State of Maine.

* Minimum of three years clinical experience preferred.

* Previous clinical and administrative supervision experience preferred.

* Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record for insurance purposes.

* Will have up-to-date training and certification in Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Health & Safety Institute. Must obtain within 3 months if not current at hire.
