Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant to join our healthcare team and work alongside our Orthopedic Surgeon. This position requires someone with medical training and specialized knowledge in musculoskeletal conditions. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care to patients in both hospital and outpatient settings. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing treatment plans, diagnosing injuries, assisting in surgery and providing postoperative care. Functions within the defined scope of clinical practice as outlined by applicable state law, licensing, certification, regulations, institutional policy and practice agreements.

Duties

* Provides quality, efficient and effective evidence-based patient care, consultation as requested, advisement and/or initiation of treatment plans while following standard of care within specialty scope of practice.

* Directs patient care by examining, diagnosing and analyzing the patient’s current health condition, performing comprehensive admission history and physical exams, consultative notes, admission and discharge summaries, progress notes, writing orders and prescriptions and performing and or assisting with procedures and helping with operative cases per defined scope of practice for specialty area.

* Perform coding for medical procedures and documentation in compliance with regulations.

* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

* Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.

* Maintain accurate patient records while adhering to HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

_Minimum Qualifications:_

* Master’s Degree of Physician Assistant Studies or as a Nurse Practitioner

* Montana Licensure (Physician Assistant) or Montana Licensure (RN and Nurse Practitioner)

* DEA License

* American Heart Association BLS, ACLS & PALS

* A minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopedic inpatient hospital and outpatient care is preferred.

Strong background in both inpatient orthopedic care and outpatient orthopedic care. particularly in total hip and knee joint replacement. This role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
