Certified Pharmacy Technician

The Certified Pharmacy Technician must abide by various regulatory compliance rules and must always treat patients with dignity and respect. The Pharmacy Technician will assist the pharmacist in ordering and maintaining inventory levels, dispensing of pharmaceuticals, providing customer service, and any additional duties as assigned. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, no nights, weekends, or holidays.

General Responsibilities

* Assists pharmacist in ordering and maintaining inventory levels, including stocking items and daily order check-ins

* Prepares prescription orders while maintaining accuracy and safety in all workflow stages

* Accurately inputs patient and prescription information into dispensing software

* Adjudicates prescriptions and resolves transmission and third-party billing errors

* Addresses patient questions and concerns, escalates issues to pharmacist appropriately

Education & Experience Requirements:

Qualifications

* High School diploma or equivalent required

* Current Ohio Board of Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) in Good Standing

* 3+ years of clinic or independent pharmacy experience preferred

* Experience with the Functions of a 340B Pharmacy Preferred

* Experience with Medication Therapy Management (MTM), prior authorizations, 340B, and EPIC preferred

Weekdays (8-5)

Compensation:

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
