Job Overview:

The Nutritionist is responsible for providing comprehensive nutritional services, including assessment, education, and counseling for participants for the WIC program. The Nutritionist will also assist the Head Start department with nutrition-related needs, including meal planning, education for children and families, and compliance with nutrition guidelines. This role requires collaboration with both departments to ensure the health and well-being of the community served, particularly woman, infants, children, and early childhood education participants.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field required; Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) preferred.

Experience

Two years of experience in maternal, infant, and child nutrition or early childhood education settings.
