Position Description
Minimum of one year independent working experience in primary care setting preferred and be comfortable treating pediatrics-adult population.

Education & Experience Requirements:
Education:
* Must have successfully completed a Board Certified, Physician Assistant program from an accredited college or university.
* Minimum of one year independent working experience in primary care or urgent care setting preferred. Comfortable treating pediatric to adult population.
Licensure/Certification:
* Successful completion of the appropriate qualifying exams as required by the Board of Medical Examiners.
* Must be licensed to practice as Physician’s Assistant in South Carolina.
* Must have prescriptive authority in South Carolina.
* Must maintain certification or recertification by a national certifying body recognized by the Board of Medical Examiners.
* Must be BLS CPR certified.
Knowledge and Skills:
* Extensive knowledge of the techniques and skills necessary to diagnose and properly treat diseases and injuries.
* A working knowledge of the administrative practices and procedures, rules, regulations and policies that govern the rendering of responsible medical and nursing care.
* A working knowledge of public health and preventative care guidelines.
* Excellent communication skills.
* The ability to relate with warmth and compassion to patients and co-workers.
* The ability to effectively supervise professional and non-professional employees in their clinical duties.
Compensation:
Guaranteed Base Salary plus Quarterly Incentive Potential.
