Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, Masters degree strongly preferred
Executive presence
Ability to thrive in a very fast paced environment in an organization experiencing rapid growth
Ability to work well with the Chief Medical Officer and Chief Financial Officer on fundraising efforts
Appreciation of our deeply innovative culture and appreciation for addressing health disparities and the social determinants of health
Conversant in clinical and public health issues that impact the many diverse populations we serve
Conversant on the scientific issues that undergird our approaches to clinical care and public health programs
A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a nonprofit development management position
Successful fundraising from multiple donor types
Demonstrated success in closing major gifts
Have knowledge and experience in fund raising techniques, particularly major gift fundraising
Possess the skills to work with and motivate staff, board members and other volunteers
Be a self-starter and goal driven to initiate donor visits and fundraising calls
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Ability to present information concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing
Ability to understand and adhere to high levels of discretion and confidentiality
Excellent interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Database management experience
Candidates must be comfortable working with diverse staff, clientele and vulnerable populations, including sexual and gender minorities, Latinx populations, people of color, and older adults.
