Position Description
The Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner is an independent healthcare provider who, working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary health team, is responsible for providing comprehensive care to well and ill patients in the clinic setting with an emphasis on behavioral health. The Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner educates patients and/or their families in order to promote wellness, prevent health problems, maintain current health and intervene in acute illness. The Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner seeks opportunities for professional growth through participation in continuing education, staff development and hospital committees. The Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner functions as an integral part of the Medical Clinic Team.
Education/License Required:
Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
Licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Louisiana.
National Nurse Practitioner licensure.
Hours:
Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm
Work Schedule:
Weekdays (8-5)
