Site Medical Director – Job Summary:
Under direction of the Chief Medical Officer and in close partnership with the Practice Manager(s) of the assigned site(s), the Site Medical Director (Medical Director) provides the clinical leadership necessary to assure that Jane Pauley Community Health Center (JPCHC) is operating a high-quality, safe, patient-centered, and financially sustainable site(s) of care.
The Medical Director is a collaborative partner with the Practice Manager(s) having joint accountability for the outcomes expected from their practice location(s); each with areas of principal and unique oversight and responsibility. The Medical Director’s principal responsibilities are to guide and support the clinical aspects of the practice and to provide leadership for the providers (i.e. physicians, Advance Practice Clinicians, therapists etc.) The Medical Director also provides counsel and input to support the Manager(s) in their management of the business and operational aspects of the practice. The roles are mutually responsible for creating a stable, high-functioning team-based care environment that enables professional satisfaction among providers and other team members, and reliably high-quality, accessible care for the patient population.
* The Medical Director is a practicing clinician within the (one) site at which they provide their leadership.
* The Medical Director is a key member of the Chief Medical Officer’s clinical leadership team.
* The Medical Director demonstrates behaviors consistent with professional standards of practice, care, and the mission, values, and goals of JPCHC.
Education and/or Experience:
* Doctor of Medicine degree or Doctor of Osteopathy degree
* Board Certified or Board admissible in Family Medicine or Med/Peds
* Valid Indiana licensure.
* Possesses a current DEA license.
