Position Description

Molokai General Hospital, an affiliate of The Queen’s Health System, is looking for a full-time Manager for our Paul G. Stevens, MD Outpatient Clinics. Relocation incentives may apply.

Starting Pay: $106,154.00 to $132,692.00 annual salary. The starting pay may be higher commensurate with experience.

Molokai General Hospital (MGH) is a 15-bed rural health care facility with a Critical Access Hospital designation. We are a 2023 Top 20 Critical Access Hospital as determined by the Chartis Center for Rural Health for Best Practice in Quality.

We provide the only emergency room for the residents and visitors on the island of Molokai. Molokai General Hospital is an affiliate of The Queen’s Health System since 1987. Molokai General Hospital provides acute care, inpatient hospice, skilled nursing, and low-risk obstetrical services. We also offer primary care in a rural health clinic, chemotherapy, limited specialty procedures, diabetes management, family planning, physical therapy (including aquatic therapy), veteran’s services and chronic disease navigation services.

_1. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:_

* Directs, plans, and effectively manages the day-to-day operations and functions of the Paul G. Stevens, M.D. Outpatient Clinic (“clinic”).

_2. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:_

* Essential: Seeing, hearing, speaking, and finger dexterity.
* Frequent: Walking, sitting.
* Occasional: Standing, stooping/bending, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, twisting body, finger dexterity, lifting and carrying usual weight of 3 pounds up to 10 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods, frequent gripping of an object.
* Operates computer, 10-key adding machine, printer, copier, telephone, and facsimile.

_3. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:_

* Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.

_4. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:_

* EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
* Bachelor’s degree in a health related field or business administration/management and/or five (5) years progressively responsible experience in an outpatient clinic, preferably in a teaching clinic, rural health clinic and/or community health center may be substituted for a degree.
* Master’s degree preferred.

* EXPERIENCE:
* In addition to educational requirement, minimum of three (3) years outpatient clinic management experience, preferably in a teaching clinic, rural health clinic and/or community health center.
* Clinical experience as a health care professional, i.e., registered nurse, social worker, physical therapist, occupational therapist, etc., desirable.
* Demonstrated knowledge in management theory and practice.
* EPIC electronic health record knowledge/experience preferred nursing experience in an outpatient setting.
