Position Description
Under the direction of a radiologist and radiology department head, performs diagnostic MRI procedures at a technical level that will require independent judgment.
Job Responsibilities:
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, code books, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
* Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
* Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
* Performs direct patient care in the area of MRI; including patient positioning, coil selection, patient safety, and scanning the specified area of the body requested by Physician.
* Communicate effectively between patient, patient’s family, physicians, and other staff members of the health care team in evaluation of care to ensure continuity of care.
* Moves equipment and/or patient into specified position and adjusts equipment controls to sequence parameters (i.e. TE, TR, FOV, etc, etc).
* Follows safety guidelines as governed by Federal, State, and local regulations and ensures that Infection Control, Quality Assurance, and Medical standards are met.
* Assessing correlation of the clinical history with the tests performed.
Education & Experience:
* Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program, and registered in Magnetic Resonance Imaging
* Experience: Prefer one year of clinical experience. Will consider new graduate.
* Required licensure/certification: Registered Radiologic Technologist in the State of Nebraska. Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training.
Full-time, 40 hours/week
