Mt Airy, home to Mayberry, seeks additional FM Doc to join established practice

Home of Andy Griffith, this beautiful community sits near the Blue Ridge Mountains and is a short drive to the Virginia line. This picturesque area with New State Park nearby offers some of the best sites for camping, hiking, fishing, wildlife and birdwatching, as well as golfing and motorcycle touring. Mount Airy enjoys four distinct seasons, with warm summers and mild winters.

Surry Medical Associates has been providing care in our town for over 25 years. The practice is outpatient only and cares for patients from birth through adulthood. Lab and X-ray services are on-site. We are a team-oriented culture and part of the larger Novant Health system. This is a practice tice where you can live and work where most folks simply vacation and establish yourself as a lasting part of the community.

4-day work week. Outpatient only practice. Excellent benefits including $20,000 sign-on bonus, guaranteed salary, Experienced mentors for new grads. Office is open from 7:30 am – 5 pm and is a 36 hour work week. . Awesome work/life balance. 4 additional providers in office. Each provider typically sees an average of 20 patients per day. EPIC is our EMR. The office has a “lodge” feeling when you walk in the door. Mount Airy is the home of Andy Griffith and the series “Mayberry” is based on the simple country life folks still enjoy in our community. Folks come from all around to visit the downtown area and Barney Fife black and white police cars cruise the streets. $100,000 +

Benefits:

$20,000 signing bonus. Can offer up to $40,000 as a forgivable loan over 3 years for student loan repayment. Can reimburse up to $10,000 for relocation assistance.
