_Who Are We?_

The Commonwealth Health Corporation (CHCC) is an 86 Bed hospital. The medical staff provide medical care for a diverse multi-cultural community who reside on three islands that make up the U.S. Territory that is called the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI).

_Where Are We?_

CNMI is part of an island chain located north of Guam in the western pacific. The three inhabited islands are Saipan, Tinian and Rota. Saipan is home to 85% of the population and the territory’s only hospital. The islands are rich in history from the arrival of pacific islanders through World War II battles.

_Who Works Here?_

The medical staff is as diverse as the island’s population. The staff include physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants from all ages and backgrounds. Many have just completed training and take advantage of the loan repayment program. Others are at the end of their careers and are looking for adventure. Some came just for a break from practicing on the mainland and decided to stay.

_Where Do You Fit?_

We are looking for Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrists to join our current staff who are open to try something new. If you like adventure, relaxed island life, outdoor sports and travel you might fit in here. If you like seeing patients without being rushed and practicing medicine on your own terms then you might like it here. Our psychiatrists provide inpatient, outpatient, telemedicine and consultation services to the 50,000 people who call CNMI home. Your work will include outpatients, inpatients, consultations and on call duties that are done mostly by telephone. Psychiatric care is provided on Tinian and Rota by telemedicine and scheduled in-person clinic days.

Compensation:

$218,000 P/A (Equivalent to that of $330,000 salary in SF and NYC)

Benefits:

LOCUM: NO Benefits. Air transportation, Housing, and ground transportation are provided.

FULL TIME:

* $10,000 one-time signing bonus for initial contracts of at least 2 years.
* International flight from the point of recruitment for the employee. Return flight to original embarkation is included and will be arranged upon completion of contract.
* Malpractice coverage is provided under the CNMI Government Liability Act (essentially identical to the Federal Tort Claims Act).
* Reimbursement of up to $250 for pre-employment health screening costs.
* Annual Leave: Accrues at eight (8) hours per pay period (bi-weekly), with a full-time Employment Contract
* Sick Leave: Accrues at four (4) hours per pay period (bi-weekly)
* Up to 5 days of paid leave for CME.
