Physician – FM opportunity in Roxboro- loan repay (tax-free) or bonus incentive

FQHC located in Roxboro is seeking a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician to practice in a primary care setting serving publicly and privately insured, with a focus on the underserved. Providers see a variety of patients of all ages and health center (PCMH) offers a variety of Medical and Dental services as well as, Behavior Health and Outreach. Student loan repayment (tax-free) or bonus incentive available. HPSA score is 21.

Clinical responsibilities of a staff provider:

Deliver the full range of ambulatory primary care services, including diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illness in all age groups, preventative and well child care.

Responsible for seeing scheduled patients as well as providing coverage during the operating hours of the Center and providing rotating telephone consultation as needed. Medical providers are expected to manage all patients and conditions within the scope of their training and approved privileges. Must understand and practice problem-focused patient care.

Requirements:

Physician must hold a MD/DO degree and Board certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. Must be licensed to practice Family Medicine or Internal Medicine in the state of North Carolina. Have a valid Controlled Substance Registration certificate from the Drug Enforcement Administration (“DEA certificate”), Basic Life Support certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications are required.
