Licensed Clinical Social Worker

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker will assess, diagnose and provide treatment for mental, emotional and behavioral issues for clients of Capital Area Health Network.

_ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES_

* Conducts intake interviews on new clients. Assesses and/or diagnoses client needs.
* Conducts individual, group, and/or family therapy.
* Participates in treatment team, staff, and professional meetings to discuss client progress.
* Assist in developing community resources for preventative mental health services.
* Prepares and regularly maintains progress notes, treatment plan, closing, and/or transfer summaries on clients and related duties as required.
* Provides specialized services to CAHN, such as special program coordination and management.
* Assist families, teachers, and/or related program personnel to develop better resources, communication, and impact in areas pertaining to mental health.
* Assists with alcohol & sexual abuse programs, as needed to enhance services for patients.
* Conducts seminars and/or workshops to inform the community about behavioral health problems and services as it relates to the community.
* Performs other related duties as required.

_KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES_

* Knowledge of theories and research on personality and intellectual growth and development, individual differences, human motivation, and abnormal behavior.
* Knowledge of interview techniques.
* Knowledge of current trends in the field of mental health.
* Knowledge of local community resources.
* Ability to assess, diagnoses, and implement treatment plans for clients.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, community groups, department and agency staff members, and fellow staff members.
* Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
* Ability to perform counseling services with limited supervision and within a framework of standard policies and procedures.

_POSITION REQUIREMENTS_

* Master’s Degree in Social Work
* Two years full-time work experience in a behavioral health setting.
* Possession of a valid Virginia Driver’s License.

_LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES REQUIRED_

* * Licensure by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
* Current DEA registration

Weekdays (8-5)

Compensation Range:

$100,000 +
