Position Description

Responsible to assisting the WAHEC/CHC department in the implementation and developing of the Western Arizona Area Health Education Center program activities, goals and objectives, providing students from disadvantaged backgrounds an opportunity to develop the skills needed to successfully compete for admission to, and graduate from, health professions schools, allied health professions schools, and graduate programs in the health professions along the service area of La Paz, Mohave and Yuma County. The program coordinator assistant will participate and support meetings, minutes, communication engagement, strategic planning and evaluation of La Paz Coalition to End Homelessness.

Assist the WAHEC Director in representing RCBH/WAHEC with external constituents/stakeholders and at meetings and conferences. Performs additional duties, including special projects as SNAP Program as assigned by the WAHEC’s Director.

Education & Experience Requirements:

_Qualifications:_

* Bachelor’s degree in Public Health Sciences, Health Education, Education, or related areas.

* Obtain fingerprint clearance card within 30 days of hire.
* CPR & First Aid

* Valid Arizona Driver’s License
* Must have reliable transportation.

Work Schedule:

Weekdays (8-5)

Benefits:

¨ Employee Retention Bonus:

At a rate up to five percent (5%) of the earned annual salary pay prorated semi-monthly (24 payments) or one time payment at the end of calendar year (prorated as to the total number of months worked in the hiring worked period) or final date of employment termination.

DEA license, Specialty Practice Membership required to perform duties as Medical Provider.

Assistance with loan re-payment plan as a Rural Health Clinic employee.

Annual coverage working with Norcal Insurance Company.

¨ Relocation Expenses Reimbursement:

In-State/Out-State relocation reimbursement.

¨ Wellness Program:

Gym membership for employee and one guest.
