Purpose of this position

Table Health is a Direct Primary Care, Functional Medicine, and Wellness practice in Traverse City and Petoskey MI. We are in need of mental health counselor – psychologist (PhD / PsyD), marriage and family therapist (LMFT), licensed clinical social worker (LCSW / LMSW), or licensed professional counselor (LP/LPC / LCPC) to grow a telehealth practice with individuals, families, couples and employee-sponsored groups.

This practice is a high-quality membership-based medical setting that does not participate with insurance. We are in search of a well-trained, compassionate mental health professional licensed in the state of Michigan with a strong interest in becoming part of a membership-based practice model. The successful candidate for this position will be working with several physicians and other staff members as part of a close-knit, cooperative, non-competitive team. Strong interpersonal skills are required. You will be expected to engage with the Table Health community. This is an outpatient-only setting working flexible hours Monday-Friday virtually via a secure telehealth platform. The ideal candidate will have the capacity and desire to grow their own practice.

Our membership-based model of care is outside the insurance model of healthcare. With this type of care, you can expect to have a smaller panel, reduced charting expectations, freedom from billing stress, a better work/life balance, and yet retain or increase current income.

Education/Experience

* Active State of Michigan professional license
* Individual professional liability insurance policy
* At least 2 years experience providing 1:1 individual care
* Experience in practicing via telehealth a plus

Work Context

* Virtual real-time interactions that take place over the EHR using integrated audio and video, chat tools, and application sharing
* Fluent in English

Scope of Practice

* Works autonomously within the scope of practice and credentials providing and managing
care for children, adolescents, and adults
* Knowledge of the standards for the practice of clinical mental health counseling
* Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members and outside providers, making appropriate referrals
* Provides documentation of encounters as per standard of care
* Provides a model of care where members receive a relationship-based model of care
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Empathetic, compassionate, and willing to see and hear the person’s needs; possess a high level of emotional intelligence
* Clear, effective, direct, and honest written communication in all areas of work
* Excellent attention to detail
* Ability to follow through on tasks and to shift from one task to another with ease and calm
* Able to perform tasks independently and confidently
* Takes initiative, is respectful, responsible and has good time management skills
* Ability to learn and efficiently use EHR and other applications in a timely manner
* Ability to make quality, independent decisions
* Participates in education and support activities with other TH therapists, giving and receiving guidance as needed
