Rad/CT Tech

* Gathers patient history data and completes worksheets with exam findings for Radiologist
* Performs general upkeep and housekeeping of exam rooms
* Assists with workflow by helping with general duties as deemed necessary
* Perform all ultrasound/echocardiography procedures
* Collect all pertinent information when scheduling procedures and interview patient prior to and during exam with the intent of optimizing procedure for patient condition and comfort
* Communicate with radiologist on scheduled special procedures
* Explain procedure to patient and family and answer questions about procedures
* Ultrasound rooms are restocked on a daily basis with laundry, SPD and Store Room supplies
* Prepares patient for Sonography procedures by accurately assessing patient’s needs and providing patient education

Education & Experience Requirements:

* Graduate of approved ultrasonography program
* RDMS certified or must have passed the SPI (Sonography Principles and Instrumentation) exam and eligible to take one of the specialty exam (AB, OB/GYN, VT ) to become RDMS certified within 12 months of hire
* Maintaining appropriate licensure, registration and continuing education requirements
