Position Description
Our adult outpatient program is seeking a licensed chemical dependency professional to provide individual counseling to adults with significant substance use challenges. The clinician will provide assessment, relapse prevention, education, and substance use groups to adults with co-occurring disorders.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to, counseling sessions to clients diagnosed with a variety of mental health and substance use disorders, utilizing brief treatment and psychotherapy models such as harm reduction model, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy etc. The clinician has the ability to formulate intervention recommendations as part of crisis intervention, develop treatment plans that focus on client goals, and refer clients to appropriate community resources when needed. The ideal candidate has previous experience working with the co-occurring population, is willing to participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team which strives to help individuals achieve their goals in a recovery focused environment, as well as working autonomously, and has a sincere desire to help our clients regain a productive and meaningful lifestyle. Supervision is also provided.
