##### Job Summary and Qualifications

Performs critical life support patient care, advanced airway management and
transport management. Assumes responsibility for the operation and maintenance
of emergency vehicles.

# What qualifications you will need:

Required Education: EMS Certificate with Community College or Associate of
Science in EMS. Must complete and maintain continuing education or re-
certification class as required by NC OEMS.
Preferred Education: Bachelor in EMS
Required License:

• North Carolina EMT-P certification.
• North Carolina drivers license and must meet insurance guidelines. Must have a valid NC driver’s license or procure one within 30 days of employment unless an out-of-state commuter, at least two years of satisfactory driving experience.
• Must obtain ITLS or PHTLS, BCLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP within one year of employment.
• Must be at least 21 years of age to meet the Mission Health established insurance guidelines.

Preferred License: National Registry, UMBC CCEMT-P.
Required Experience: None.
Preferred Experience: One year of full time active pre-hospital care or
equivalent.
