Job Summary and Qualifications

As an Occupational Therapist Assistant at our facility you will find out what

community! In this role, under the direction of a licensed Occupational
Therapist, you will:

* Provide implementation of Plan of Care and treatment of patients with physical/cognitive disabilities and pain within the scope of practice of a licensed Occupational Therapist Assistant.

* Participate in a multi-disciplinary team to implement therapeutic interventions and instructional programs pertinent to Occupational Therapy.

  • Assist patients in reaching their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.
  • Participate in department improvement activities.
  • Deliver appropriate care to a variety of patient populations including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric and ensure excellent care is given to all patients.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current State of Utah Occupational Therapist Assistant license.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
  • Acute and Rehabilitation experience of one year is preferred.
  • National Board of Certification for Occupational Therapists renewed every three years.
  • 1+ years experience in Occupational Therapy preferred.
  • Direct Inpatient Rehab experience preferred.

Affiliated with our hospital is Pleasant View Emergency Center. This fully
equipped, freestanding facility features board-certified physicians. Our
nurses and technicians are specially trained in emergency medical care and
available on a 24/7 basis.
Located 10 miles north of our main hospital, PVER features 10 plus treatment
rooms, comprehensive imaging technology and a medical laboratory onsite, which
help to ensure accurate and prompt care.
