Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the direction of the MFM Physician, Office or Clinic Manager, or
Supervisor the Registered nurse will be responsible for quality patient care
and Evidence Based practice within the Clinic.
What you will do in this role:

• Demonstrate clinical competence to practice within Perinatal Scope of Care.
• Coordinate care and communicate effectively with staff, peers, Director of Perinatology, physicians, external and internal customers.
• Utilize research that supports and advances counseling in genetics and nursing practice.
• Demonstrate professional growth through continuing education and involvement in professional organizations.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement within the Perinatal Center.
• Initiate and document patient teaching including family and/or significant others. Use appropriate Patient Education documentation modality.

What qualifications you will need:

• Current unencumbered South Carolina or Multistate Compact Registered Nurse License
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification on hire
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring- AWHONN Intermediate fetal monitoring course by one year of hire
• An Associate’s degree or above in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in Labor and Delivery
