Job Summary and Qualifications
The Pulmonary Technician provides for the implementation and coordination of
Pulmonary Physiology Lab procedures based on the Policies and Practices of the
Pulmonary Physiology and Neurodiagnostic Labs.
- You will be responsible for special procedures within his/her scope of practice, maintaining and improving clinical competence, practicing universal precautions, maintaining and cleaning equipment, and performing any other duties deemed necessary by the shift supervisor.
- You will provide consultation, collaboration, and education to the medical staff, nursing, multi-disciplinary care team members, and patients/families.
Position Requirements:
- NBRC Certification, Registry eligible, or NBRC Registration, or R.EEGT, C-CCPT, CPFT, RCPT, RPFT.
- Current Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is preferred.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross preferred
- Graduate of AMA accredited Respiratory Therapist program, or equivalent associate degree 6 months previous experience
