Job Summary and Qualifications

The Lead Radiology Tech performs direct patient care within the scope of a
Radiology Tech, coordinates the flow of the daily activities in the assigned
area(s) of responsibility. The Lead Radiology Tech will supervise and evaluate
subordinate personnel under the support of the Diagnostic Imaging Manager and
Director.
·Responsible for interfacing with other departments, physicians and their
office staff, patients, families, visitors, and Radiology employees as needed.
·Performs duties of imaging technologist, including call rotation coverage.
·Provide supervision of assigned employees
·Maintain high quality (age specific) care for infant, pediatric, adolescent,
adult and geriatric patients, as assigned
·Assist radiologists and other department technologists in performing
procedures as needed.
·Promotes and displays a positive customer oriented demeanor to patients,
visitors, staff, and physicians.
·Prepares schedules for assigned staff and manages daily workflow of unit
operations.
·Participates in team interviews with candidates for positions in assignment
area
·Provides input for performance appraisals of assigned team members to the
Manager and/or Director.
·Assists with implementation of policies and procedures to meet the various
accrediting agencies regulations and laws.
·Maintains equipment and supplies as they relate to imaging department
·Delegate tasks to the appropriate caregiver
·Participate in Diagnostic Imaging specific initiatives and process
improvement
·Support the Mission, Vision and Values of the organization.

# What qualifications you will need:

* Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

• State of Florida Registered Radiologic Technologist
• Minimum 3 years directly related experience in hospital setting
• Previous Lead or Charge experience strongly preferred
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT) (R)
• Completion of a two (2) year accredited school of Radiologic Technology
