Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) serves as a key member of the Cardiac
Cath Lab leadership team. The CNC is responsible for managing patient-centered
care coordination within the unit/department during the designated shift. In
collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs,
monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established
policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a
commitment to the hospitals vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled
patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall

  • You will Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality, patient-centered care.
  • You will Supervises personnel providing direct patient care and delegates activities based on patient care needs and exercises judgement regarding patient care assignments using established policies/procedures and assessing competencies of available patient care staff.
  • You will Supports the achievement of internal/external benchmarks, accreditations, and designations
  • You will Ensures compliance with evidence-based practices that enhance patient experience and customer service
  • You will Provides direct and ongoing supervision of staff with regard to conflict resolution and personnel policy compliance, including input and/or completion of performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
  • You will Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff. Recommends and implements courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively superior organization.
# What qualifications you will need:

* Current California Nursing License.

  • ACLS certification required.
  • BCLS certification required.
  • NIH Certification
  • CCRN preferred
  • Successful completion of cardiac dysrhythmia course.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
  • AA Degree.
  • B.S.N or B.A. preferred.
  • 1 – 2 years of full-time equivalent or more prior experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab, Critical Care experience, and or similar nursing experience in interventional procedures.

Riverside Community Hospital is a large acute care facility with 517 beds,
established in 1901. It has the most extensive Emergency Room and Level I
Trauma Center in the Inland Empire region and is the primary recipient of
STEMI (heart attack) cases in Riverside County. The hospital is accredited as
a Chest Pain Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center and has a HeartCare
Institute that offers both invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures.
Riverside has a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, which it is very proud
