Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the direction of the Security Director or designee, the off duty Armed
Sheriff’s Deputy (ASD) is responsible for the protection of the facility’s
assets, people and programs. The ASD establishes a positive Security image by
being highly visible and vigilant to fire, health and safety hazards as well
as criminal threats. The ASD takes immediate corrective action on violations
and/or deficiencies to minimize the potential for harm. The ASD maintains a
close working relationship with hospital employees to provide a safe and
secure environment.

# What qualifications you will need:

* High School Diploma or equivalent (GED); Must be a police academy graduate

• Minimum of eighteen months (18) as a Hillsborough County Sheriffs Deputy and approval through Hillsborough County Sherrifs Office
• Must be an employed and sworn Hillsborough County Sheriffs Deputy
• Documentation of ongoing law enforcement training as regulated by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
