Clinical Counselor – Make a Difference at Marlboro County Detention Center!

The candidate for this position should have an understanding and experience with substance use and families. The position requires time management skills, ability to multitask, flexibility, and organizational skills. Job deputies include providing biopsychosocial assessments, treatment planning, individual, group and family counseling as well as crisis intervention and case management. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree required. Applicants with LPC or LMSW and/or certification as an Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor are highly desired.

The candidate will work in the Marlboro County Detention Center although some work will be done in our Trinity Behavioral Care-Marlboro Office Location.

Eligible for National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment and State Rural Behavioral Health Incentive Grant program.

Education & Experience Requirements:

Applicants must hold a bachelors or master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology. State License is preferred. Clinical Counseling experience and knowledge of SC Medicaid standards desired.

Compensation:

Pay: $40,000.00 – $45,000.00 per year. Salary dependent on experience and certification/licensure.
