Position Description
Job Summary:
●Enter Data into the LIS.
●Responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing various equipment and work areas in the laboratory.
●Maintain laboratory inventory.
●Under the supervision of the Clinical Laboratory Manager and MT/MLT processes specimens in hematology, chemistry, blood bank and microbiology according to CLIA guidelines
●Able to prepare, examine, and test various samples that are categorized as Waived Testing by CLIA
●Critically evaluates specimen integrity. Ensures that lab results fit clinical context for each individual patient’s specimen. Immediately reports testing outside of normal parameters to authorized testing personnel. Communicates and documents test status and results in a timely manner to clinical personnel involved in patient care.
●Provides clerical support including typing, correspondence, filing, recording, etc.
●Assist lab personnel with daily job duties as needed.
●Performs other duties as assigned.
Skill/Educational Requirements:
●High School Diploma or GED is required.
