Clinical Psychologist Opportunity in Florence, SC

Reports to: Director of Behavioral Health

FLSA Status: Exempt

Overview of position : To enhance the provision of behavioral health services in an integrated care model through innovative, systems-oriented, and evidenced-based interventions that target improved stability, quality of life, and excellent health outcomes for patients who require more intensive care and intervention due to persistent, chronic, and serious mental illness.

Requirements: Doctoral degree in clinical psychology or closely related discipline (e.g., Health Psychology). Completion of APA-accredited predoctoral internship. Licensed or license-eligible in South Carolina per requirements set forth by the SC Board of Examiners in Psychology. Must possess a demonstrated ability to be a flexible and resilient team player and must exhibit initiative. Multicultural competency in working with minority populations, including the medically and socially underserved, is required.

Job Duties:

* Provide intensive assessment and psychotherapy to high-risk patients who require specialized training and expertise.
* Utilize effective, evidence-based treatment approaches, such as cognitive behavioral approaches, dialectical behavior therapy, short-term crisis intervention, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing.
* Provide consultation services as requested and approved by supervisory staff.
* Advocate for patients’ best interests. May be required to provide testimony in court and prepare court reports in accordance with the confidentiality requirements of the state, agency, and federal statutes.
* Maintain appropriate records, progress notes, treatment plans, assessment forms, and billing records for all encounters. Documentation of assessment and service delivery to be completed in the electronic health record within 24 hours of service delivery.
