Lifespan & Gateway Healthcare, RI’s largest nonprofit behavioral healthcare provider, are hiring Clinical Therapists to work with patients managing behavioral health issues. This is a community-based position, in which you will work with patients in their homes where you can have a significant impact on improving daily functioning.

Gateway Healthcare provides evidence-based treatment, intervention & prevention services to adults & children of all cultural & economic backgrounds with behavioral & substance abuse issues, through its residential, outpatient, and community-based programs.

Supervision towards LICSW, LMFT, or LMHC

Responsibilities:

Provide intensive clinical & crisis intervention services to patients, including individual psychotherapy, family therapy, group therapy, psychiatric rehabilitation, and mental health evaluations

Face-to-face contact with clients in their homes or communities, as prescribed in the Individual Treatment Plan

Coordinate care with providers through meetings, telephone conversations and correspondence

Complete assessment, treatment plans, and discharge summaries that are client centered

Provide emergency evaluations & provide crisis intervention services to clients at imminent risk of psychiatric hospitalization, in order to stabilize & deter hospitalization

Provide, coordinate, and monitor treatment services

Maintain a minimum of 23 hours of direct care productivity, per week

Grow professionally through trainings in evidence-based practiced targeted to specific populations

Requirements:

Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related mental health field, required

Experience working in the mental health field

Valid driver’s license

Shift & Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

Location: Positions available in Providence, RI; Pawtucket, RI; Johnston, RI; and Charlestown, RI
