Position Description
The ASU – an innovative hospital diversion and step-down program – is looking for a self-motivated, creative individual to lead its treatment operations. This is the ideal position for someone looking to positively impact clients and staff in the behavioral healthcare field through a holistic, wrap-around care model. The clinical co-director will provide direct oversight to nursing, counseling, and front-line staff in partnership with the administrative co-director. Responsibilities include providing ongoing group and individual supervision and training to the above disciplines. The clinical co-director is the primary person responsible for programmatic oversight to include: curriculum design, review of referrals and admissions as needed, leadership in crisis intervention and de-escalation, program marketing, attendance in daily interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, record review, and risk management and compliance. This individual will also provide direct services as a member of the ASU clinical team during regular scheduled hours (day shift) when needed. Will also be required to meet regularly with team prescribers for high-level case review and consultation. Will assist administrative co- director in facilitating marketing visits/presentations, scheduling, HR functions, and other administrative procedures as assigned. Some after hours, rotated on-call phone consultation to clinical team members required, but with flexible and accommodating scheduling options. This position requires a high degree of flexibility, creativity, initiative, and willingness to learn; demonstrated skills in mentorship, supervision, and teaching; and the ability to model client-centered, trauma-informed care. You will collaborate closely with programs throughout our agency. The ideal candidate understands the mission and role of community mental health centers. You will receive training, consultation, supervision, and support from the division VP and deputy VP and from other agency directors.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIRED:
* Minimum of a Master’s degree in a human service-related field or RN.
* Program development and training experience helpful. Needs to have at least 5 years’ experience providing direct services to client’s experiencing behavioral health issues.
* Emergency services or inpatient psychiatric experience helpful. Crisis intervention skills a must.
* Basic computer skills, including WORD and EXCEL.
