Job Description

Open Door Community Health Centers
Position Description
This position is at Open Door Community Health Centers’ (ODCHC) only clinic in Del Norte County, population 28,000. This clinic was opened in 2007 and serves the entire county, with the majority of the population and patients living in Crescent City, California. On the border with Oregon, we see patients from our neighboring state as well. This clinic is designed to support an integrated, team-based approach to primary care. In addition to family medicine, pediatrics and behavioral health, this clinic has an active dental practice and a dental van which visits remote schools in the county. In addition to traditional appointments, the clinic offers weekday, evening and weekend same-day visits for family medicine and pediatric care. We have immediate and future openings for family medicine practitioners.
ODCHC, serves more than 55,000 unique individuals annually, and is the medical home for more than half of the area’s 160,000 residents. ODCHC employs more than 100 licensed medical, dental and behavioral health practitioners and 450 support staff, including nurses, medical assistants, scribes and case managers. We strive to make sure everyone can work at the top of their scope. ODCHC is California’s largest provider of primary medical, dental and behavioral health care north of San Francisco. ODCHC uses the EPIC electronic health record system (since 2008) and has teleconference and telehealth capacity in all sites.
ODCHC offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including base wages, incentive and quality bonuses, signing bonus, relocation assistance, and a full array of insurance coverage plans. Continuing education, license renewal, clinical reference applications and memberships are provided. Professional liability insurance is provided under ODCHC’s status as a federally qualified health center. It maintains a gap/wrap-around policy with Norcal Mutual.
