Director of Behavioral Health

BVHC is expanding our integrated behavioral health and substance use disorder services team. We are seeking an experienced clinical psychologist or licensed clinical social worker to lead a team of 4 clinicians. In this role, you’ll have dedicated time in your schedule to provide clinical and administrative supervision, provide direct patient care, and collaborate closely with the Director of Operations and the Clinical Director to develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance the quality and coordination of behavioral health services at BVHC. You will elevate the department with a grounding in evidence-based therapeutic models, with an emphasis on collaboration with other providers.

In your clinical role you will have the opportunity to consult with primary care providers and the psychiatric nurse practitioner on complex cases to develop a cohesive care plan. Our integrated care model includes opportunities to present cases at clinical meetings, with primary care providers, therapists, and the psychiatric nurse practitioner present, as well as a local psychiatrist who attends to consult. Broad-based therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy, are essential to serve our population. This role is expected to be about 80-90% patient facing until the department grows.

In your administrative role, you will have the opportunity to help us take our behavioral health department to the next level. We are in a growth phase, and look forward to this department maturing alongside our other service lines.

Ability to work with all ages of clients is preferred (pediatric and adult).

Education & Experience Requirements:

Unrestricted license to practice clinical psychology or independent clinical social work in the State of Vermont.

Weekdays (8-5)

Compensation:

Salary commensurate with experience

Compensation Range:

$100,000 +
