Job Summary and Qualifications

Echocardiagram Technician – PRN/Per Diem
At HCA West Florida, we are committed to creating a world-class experience for
each patient. As part of our team, you will work alongside a dedicated group
of professionals who are truly making a difference in the health and lives of
people in West Florida. We are currently seeking an Echocardiagram Technician
(Echo Tech) on a PRN/per diem/as-needed basis in our Vascular Lab. If you

As an Echo Tech on our team, your tasks and responsibilities include:

• Perform special non-invasive procedures, mount the findings, and ready the results for the physician to read
• Complete all paperwork in the Meditech & PACS computer system
• Maintain accountability for his/her own knowledge and skills, and supports the philosophy, objectives and goals of the hospital
• _Must_ be able to recognize and respond appropriately to life threatening situations
• _Must_ be able to perform special non-invasive procedures (M-Mode, 2-D, TEE, Doppler, Color-Flow, Stress Echo, Cardiac Stress, Electrocardiogras, Signal averaged Electrocardiograms and Holter Monitoring)

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a Vocational/Technical School program for Echocardiagram Technicians
• RVT certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Meditech knowledge
• 1 to 3 years of experience
