Olean General in Olean NY (25k annual volume. (1 physician and 3 APP’s per day shift)
Claxton Hepburn Medical Center in Ogdensburg, NY (13k annual volume. 1 physician and 1 APP per day shift)
Lewis County General in Lowville, NY (12k annual volume. 1 physician and 1 APP per day shift)
Carthage Hospital in Carthage, NY (16k annual volume. 1 physician and 1 APP per day shift)
Bradford Regional Medical Center in Bradford, PA ( (14k annual volume. 1 physician and 1 APP per day shift)
Key Responsibilities:
Emergency Medical Care: Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients of all ages, including initial assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and disposition. This may involve a wide range of medical conditions and injuries.
Stabilization and Resuscitation: Be prepared to stabilize critically ill or injured patients and perform life-saving interventions when necessary. You will have access to state-of-the-art equipment and support staff.
Collaboration: Work closely with nursing staff, other physicians, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care and a smooth workflow in the emergency department.
Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate electronic medical records (EMR) to track patient history, treatment plans, and outcomes.
Community Involvement: Engage with the local community and promote health and wellness. Participate in health education programs, community outreach, and local events to foster positive relationships.
Adherence to Protocols: Follow established hospital and departmental protocols, policies, and guidelines to ensure patient safety and quality of care.
Qualifications:
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
Board certification in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM) or eligibility for certification.
Active medical license in New York state.
Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A commitment to patient-centered care and a desire to serve the community.
Willingness to participate in outdoor activities and hiking to embrace the work-life balance offered by the rural location.
