Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Staff Nurse is responsible for planning and providing
individual goal directed nursing care that promotes, advocates for, and
strives to protect the health, safety and rights of the individual, family and
community. The nurse possesses knowledge of the principles of growth and
development and the particular skills necessary to provide optimum patient
care to the population for which he or she isemployed. The RN is accountable
for their practice and care coordination. The RN is expected to practice
autonomously utilizingevidence basedpractices. The practice of the Registered
Nurse will support the mission, vision and valuesofMedicalCityPlano and the
philosophy of the Department of Nursing.

# What qualifications you will need:

* Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date

• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Cour must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Texas or compact
• Associate Degree; BSN within 24 months of hire
• 2+ years of experience in specialty
