Excellent Staff Psychologist Opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Alexandria VA Healthcare System is seeking a full-time Staff Psychologist for the Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Fort Johnson, LA. The Staff Psychologist provides direct patient care, teaching/training services, and program evaluation/outcomes services. They effectively communicate with a wide range of other mental health providers, healthcare staff and facility leadership. The psychologist utilizes existing empirically supported assessment, evidence-based intervention, and consultation with patients experiencing a wide range of medical conditions but are not limited to the following: Provides a full range of therapeutic interventions including individual, group and family/couples psychotherapy, ability to diagnose mental disorders and provides a full range of psycho-diagnostics services, conduct psychological assessments for clinical or administrative purposes as directed by the chief of Psychology or designated Supervisory Psychologist.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.(subject to change based on the need of the agency)
