Family Medicine Opportunity in America’s Best Small Mountain Town

This position is full-time, 36 hour work week. The goal is to place 2 family physicians. It is an outpatient practice but has the options to do some inpatient work, prenatal care, long-term care, and minor outpatient procedures. It is a brand new practice, and the ultimate productivity goal is 10 patients per half-day. Highlands will be a small clinic with support from the larger FQHC. There is opportunity for virtual behavioral health support.

There is also an opportunity for teaching as Blue Ridge Health (BRH) is a Teaching Health Center with a Family Medicine Residency program and also works with medical students and other allied health students.

The town of Highlands is nestled in the mountains of southwest North Carolina in Macon County. It boasts a family-friendly environment and entices visitors from across the country with its towering peaks, peaceful valleys, sparkling lakes and majestic scenery. Recreational activities are plentiful, including hiking, biking, golf, and swimming, and entertainment attractions include concerts, festivals, local shopping, arts and craft shows, full of Southern charm and hospitality. Nearby towns are Cashiers, Lake Glenville, Sapphire, and Lake Toxaway.

Compensation:

$170000 – $180000 (Annually)
