Position Description

PURPOSE: To provide patients high quality preventative care based on the medical policies of Alliance Community Healthcare and within the guidelines of all regulatory agencies in order to achieve optimum medical care and support services for our patients.

Salary: Competitive Salary- based on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Obtain and legibly document a patient’s medical history as well as any other pertinent patient information while utilizing the Electronic Health Record of the organization. Locking your notes within 24 hours of seeing the patient.
* Examine patients in order to assess their overall general physical health in addition to the presence of any diseases or injuries.
* Evaluate the etiology and extent of any disease or injury.
* Prescribe and administer medications, immunizations, diagnosis and treatment that you are licensed/certified to do including immigration exam or CDL exams completing all documents required by local, state and governmental agencies.
* Establish preventive health practices and create care plans within the Electronic Health Records.
* Lead morning huddles and set up standing orders.
* Participate in the evaluation of patient care through chart audits examining medical records for legibility, completeness, and accuracy (i.e. date, time, signature of each entry, etc.)
* Facilitate or participate in training and orientation programs as needed.
* Perform a variety of other medical, clinical, or administrative duties that may be periodically assigned at the discretion of the Medical Director and Chief Executive Officer.
* Participate in organizational committees to ensure quality improvement, medical management, and maintenance of Joint Commission Accreditation or other credentialing organization.
* Participate in the clinical education of students.
* Serve as Collaborating physician for mid-level providers, occasionally.
* Participate fully in all audits, inspections and program reviews.
* Other clinical and/or administrative duties and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the Medical Director or Chief Executive Officer.
* Establish and sustain a climate of mutual respect among staff and colleagues.

Qualifications/Requirements

Education: Graduate of an accredited medical or osteopathic medical school, graduate of an ACGME approved residency program (preferably in a field of primary care medicine) and possess an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of New Jersey.

License/Credentials: State of NJ Board of Medical Examiners Certificates, The American Board of Family Practice Certificate and Bachelor of Medicine and Master of Science, ECFMG and Medical Degree and additional diploma within the scope of Family Practice Medicine.
