Family Nurse Practitioner

The WeCare Group, Inc., is currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner NP at our facility in Scotia, California. Potential candidates should be self-directed, willing to learn, as well as a team player. Excellent communication and computer skills are a must. The successful candidate will be familiar with Family Practice.

The WeCare Group, Inc. is a federally qualified health center, located in Northern California.

Responsibilities:
– Provide primary care services to patients of all ages, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and older adults
– Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and medical assessments
– Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and conditions
– Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests, medical imaging, and ophthalmology exams
– Prescribe medications and other treatments as necessary
– Perform minor surgical procedures
– Provide family planning services and reproductive health care
– Provide health coaching and education to patients and their families
– Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care

Requirements:
– Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of California
– Masters Degree in Nursing with a specialization in Family Practice
– Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner is a plus
– Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner
– Knowledge of electronic health record systems
– Proficiency in performing aseptic techniques and sterile processing
– Familiarity with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and specimen collection processing
– Experience in dementia care is preferred but not requiredExperience working in a Primary Setting, is preferred
– Graduation from a nationally accredited Nurse Practitioner program (experience working in primary care/family medicine is a plus!)
– CA Licensure/DEA/NPI
