Position Description
Renown Health is seeking a General Consult Neurohospitalist to join the inpatient Neurology program at Northern Nevada’s largest, and only, not-for-profit locally owned and governed healthcare network.
The General Neurohospitalist will be part of the Acute Neurology team and provide inpatient neurology consults bedside: seizure, neuropathy, myasthenia, stroke follow up, MS patients.
Days Only. No stroke call. No Fellowship needed. Ideal candidate will be BE/BC and have at least 2 years’ experience as an Acute Neurology Physician.
Renown Health and the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med) are affiliate partners in Nevada’s first integrated academic health system. The affiliation aims to improve the health of the community, region, and state through research, medical education, and expanded clinical care. Renown physicians participate as joint faculty at UNR Med for teaching, lectures, supervising clinical rotations, and other academic activities for the education of medical and physician assistant students, residents, and fellows.
This is an employed position with the Renown Medical Group. Renown Health is a Joint Commission accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center and ABRET Accredited Level III Epilepsy Lab.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
Level II Trauma Center – 600 bed Medical Center
Neurosciences Institute; Gold Plus Achievement; American Stroke Association Elite Honor Roll
Block Schedule; 7 days on / 7 days off
Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center
Neurology Clinic Suite on hospital campus
Acute stroke coverage and general neurology consults while on shift.
12 hour shifts; days only
Average patient census 15 -20
APP Support during shift coverage.
IM Resident and medical student rotate on service.
Competitive salary with Quality Bonus Compensation, health benefits, 401k with Match and relocation assistance.
$3000 CME stipend.
Paid Malpractice with 100% tail coverage
RENO/LAKE TAHOE REGION:
