Position Description

We are seeking one full-time hospitalist to join our well established and stable Hospital Medicine Program consisting of 3-full-time employed Hospitalists, 2 hospitalist APNPs, and 3 long-term, part-time independent contractors. This program started in mid-August 2010, and we have a group of experienced physicians who have worked together for many years in a collegial environment.

Work schedule is 12 hours shifts, 7 on 7 off, and our full time is 14.3 shift per month. We take care of all medical patients and are involved with most surgical patients either as admitting or consulting physician. Our Hospitalists manage all intensive care unit and ventilator patients in our 4-bed intensive care unit. No procedures are required but those who have procedural skills can continue to do them. We are a community owned, independent hospital located 30-miles east of Madison and 60-miles west of Milwaukee. We provide quality healthcare to the residents of an eight-community area and has the only hospital in Jefferson County. The hospital is a modern, fully accredited, acute care facility with 49-beds. In addition to comprehensive inpatient services, we offer ambulatory surgery and specialty clinics, a birthing center, cardiac rehabilitation, emergency services including the Urgent Care Program for after-hours treatment of minor illnesses and injuries, occupational medicine and more. We are a multi-specialty group practice with satellite clinics offering primary and specialty care in Fort Atkinson, Cambridge, Jefferson, Johnson Creek, Lake Mills, and Whitewater.
