Job Summary:
* The Interventional Radiology Technologist assists and supports the Interventional & Neuro Radiologists in maintaining sterile fields, procedural tray prep and procedural supplies. The Interventional technologist carries out responsibilities in both administrative support and technical areas including but not limited to those as outlined below.
- Performs Interventional & Neuro Radiology exams following protocols and in a timely manner, ensuring a high quality of care.
- Provides post procedure care to the patient (includes holding pressure as well as cleaning, suturing and bandaging of procedure site), and obtains informed consent.
- Effectively assists members of the health care team with specific procedures and treatments; shares knowledge and expertise with others and willingly assists co-workers, fosters teamwork and contributes to team goals.
- Reviews quality of radiographs to insure quality standards have been met. Possesses an understanding of and adherence to the Code of Conduct, and demonstrates knowledge of the occurrence reporting system.
- Promotes a positive customer service attitude.
- Takes patient history and retrieves any necessary orders or prior images.
- Appropriately completes documentation including patient demographics, images and dose data.
- Coordinates patient flow and checks daily list to ensure all exams are complete.
# What qualifications you will need:
* R.T.(R) (ARRT), SCRQSA Registry required
- Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
- 1 Year of Interventional experience is strongly preferred.
- VI, CI, CV, and ACLS Certifications preferred
- BLS required
