Laurel Behavioral Health, part of the award-winning Laurel Health Centers family, is seeking another outpatient behavioral health therapist to join its growing practice. As federally qualified health centers (FQHCs), our focus is on offering high-quality healthcare to all patients, regardless of their ability to pay.
PRACTICE DETAILS
Laurel Behavioral Health’s licensed outpatient therapists work closely with our supportive behavioral health team, family medicine providers, psychiatric consultants, care coordinators, school-based counselors, and recovery services. This full-time position is completely outpatient. You will provide counseling services to a diverse patient mix, including children, teens, and adults on an individual and family basis.
Services are delivered Monday – Friday at Laurel Behavioral Health’s main outpatient office in Wellsboro, PA with a scheduled rotation at specific Laurel Health Center sites as assigned throughout our service area. Our outpatient office in Wellsboro operates 8 am – 5 pm on M, Th, and Fri with two extended-hour days on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (8 am – 8 pm). All providers are required to work one extended-hour day per week on either Tuesday or Wednesday.
QUALIFICATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
This position requires a master’s degree in social work or a related field and an active, unrestricted Pennsylvania state license such as LCSW, LPC, LMFT. Candidates must have comprehensive knowledge of behavioral health therapy and evidence-based treatments for mental health conditions, strong time management skills, and the ability to make quick and accurate clinical assessments. Ideal candidates will be comfortable working with a holistic model aimed at treating the full patient through an interdisciplinary behavioral health and family medicine team.

Candidates must have comprehensive knowledge of behavioral health therapy and evidence-based treatments for mental health conditions, strong time management skills, and the ability to make quick and accurate clinical assessments.
Ideal candidates will be comfortable working with a holistic model aimed at treating the full patient through an interdisciplinary behavioral health and family medicine team. An interest in school-based care support and demonstrated experience designing and implementing clinical pathways/treatment protocols for chronic conditions are also preferred.
